I first became aware of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” from Willie Nelson’s record, Red Headed Stranger.” This live version, from Austin, TX, is so beautiful and so patient. Everyone is playing exactly what they need to and nothing more. Willie’s solo is no exception. Every note is perfectly placed, everything he’s playing is so connected to the song, and he has such a beautiful sound. And what an amazing feel! Enjoy!
