Stuff Bob thinks is cool number 5
Rope! by Alfred Hitchcock was considered by many, including Hitchcock himself, an experiment that failed. However, it happens to be one of my favorite Hitchcock movies. The whole thing was shot in one take, in mostly one room, like a play. Being 1948 the technology available was such that the tape would have to often be replaced. I think every ten minutes, if I'm not mistaken. And there's these interesting little moments where the camera zooms in on an object and then fades to black so that the tape can be changed without the scene stopping.
